Accounting for Innovation

George Washington University

Over eight years, George Washington (GW) University’s Office of Sustainability developed a robust set of goals and targets and pioneered innovative projects to explore and demonstrate urban sustainability. But it had yet to provide a comprehensive accounting of progress toward its goals and targets for faculty, staff, students and community stakeholders.

Strategy, Reporting

With the needs of the university’s key audiences in mind, BuzzWord developed a folding, pocket-sized publication that provides a scorecard of progress toward GW’s goals and a summary of its sustainability strategy on one side and a handy map of the university’s campuses and their green features on the other. BuzzWord also helped GW develop a comprehensive report detailing progress toward their targets and signaling future directions.
